Mrs. Nada Mohamed Abdulrahman, Chief Technology Officer at Bahrain Development Bank, has received an Award for Most Outstanding Digital Transformation – 2022 during The World CIO 200 Summit 2022 held by International Group of Artificial Intelligence and GEC Media Group and presented by Global CIO Forum under patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.

Nada was awarded among more than 17 CIOs from private and public organizations. The Award is to recognize their contributions to digitization and embracing new technologies and artificial intelligence.

The selection of Mrs. Abdulrahman was based on her significant role in the digital transformation journey BDB has been going through, developing the infrastructure for information technology at the bank by adapting the latest technologies and operating systems, and designing a unique customer experience through “tijara”, the digital platform arm of BDB to support small and medium enterprises that will be launched in the last quarter of this year.

Commenting on that, Mrs. Dalal Al Qais, BDB’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “We congratulate our colleague Nada Abdulrahman, our Chief Technology Officer, on winning this award. It’s an acknowledgment of her accomplishments in this field throughout her career especially within her role at BDB where she managed to lead the digital transformation project efficiently, which allowed the bank to further its advancement in integrating new technology and succeed in developing its infrastructure in line with the bank’s strategy and the rapid growth of technology and advanced applications in the banking sector

The summit also included discussion topics around AI and digital transformation. Moreover, it included a line of speakers specialized in fintech, cyber security and future studies. The summit is the biggest of its kind to celebrate and honor the CIOs who have engaged efficiently and effectively in improving work strategy by using latest technology and AI.
