Job Title: Procurement Senior Specialist

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for purchasing activities and for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price. Implement agreed annual plans and KPI’s to ensure operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value and deliver cost savings. Maintain supplier contacts and relationships and manage the contracts to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support with developing annual procurement and tendering plan include contract renewal and budgeting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide support to all the departments at BDB to identify, evaluate and select vendors for special requirements.
  • Ensures full compliance with all the requirements of Bahrain Tender Law. Support the business with all internal and external communication related to internal and external tendering process
  • Act as moderator and secretary for Internal Procurement Committee (IPC), ensuring that managers fulfil the documents.
  • Review all TRAFs, RFP, evaluation reports, and all tenders related documents to ensure full compliance with law and internal policies and procedures.
  • Directs, manages, and monitors negotiations with suppliers of major services and critical contracts prices, credit terms, and other conditions of the agreement with the necessary Department(s).
  • Oversees the preparation of required documents ensuring that satisfactory conditions are built into purchase contracts and providing written justifications for all verified orders as per standard documentation, policies, and procedures in coordination with the Legal team.
  • Verifies and approves purchase orders, letters of credit, and other related documents based on vendor selection procedures and ensure their completion.
  • Teach and educate managers and associates about the procurement process control.
  • Manage all BDB contract, ensure timely renewal or reprocuring.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

  • Professional certification in supply chain certifications such as CISCP and CISCM, or Procurement certificate such as CIPS is a plus

Years of experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
