Manama, Bahrain – May 2025: As part of Bahrain Development Bank’s (BDB) ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders and advance institutional work environment within the sector, Ms. Dalal Al Qais, Group Chief Executive Officer of BDB welcomed Haitham Al Rashdan, Vice President of the Bahrain Bankers Trade Union (BTU), and Isa Ali, Head of the BTU’s Membership Committee, to the Bank’s headquarters for a high-level meeting.
The interaction offered an open and constructive dialogue on potential avenues of cooperation between BDB and BTU, key challenges and opportunities within the banking sector, and initiatives to empower national talent while cultivating a dynamic and balanced work environment that supports employee performance and wellbeing.
Commenting on the occasion, Ms. Dalal Al Qais, Group Chief Executive Officer of BDB said, “We believe in the value of meaningful cooperation with all partners across the banking landscape, especially with the Bahrain Bankers Trade Union, which plays a pivotal role in representing the voice of employees and advocating for their interests. Haitham Al Rashdan, Vice President of the Bahrain Bankers Trade Union, praised the Bank’s prompt response to the Union’s request for a meeting, describing it as a clear sign of the Bank’s openness for engagement and its confidence in the rights and benefits provided to the employees. He added that the Union looks forward to building on this initiative through joint projects that directly benefit the Bank’s staff.
