Bahrain Development Bank Launches SME Account Opening Campaign at the Investors Center

Manama, Bahrain – May 2025: Bahrain Development Bank (BDB), the Kingdom’s leading institution in supporting small and medium enterprises, has announced the launch of a special campaign to facilitate the opening of business bank accounts for SMEs. The campaign is being carried out through the bank’s presence at the Investors Center, operated by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, to simplify and accelerate the account-opening process for entrepreneurs and business owners. This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s recent directive mandating commercial accounts for registered businesses. Entrepreneurs can now open their bank accounts within minutes through BDB’s digital channels or by directly engaging with the bank’s representative at the center. The bank offers a range of solutions tailored to meet the needs of SME clients, including “Tijara On-Demand Accounts” and current accounts.

Clients will also be able to manage their banking transactions through “Tijara” – the first award-winning digital banking platform in Bahrain dedicated to SME banking – giving businesses full control of their financial operations anytime, anywhere. On this occasion, Mr. Ali Al Aradi, Chief Banking Officer at BDB, stated: “At Bahrain Development Bank, we are committed to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem and making banking services more accessible to SMEs, which are the backbone of our national economy.
